Nursing Program Application

Fall Semester Application open from February 1st until March 31st.

Spring Semester Application open from July 1st until August 31st.

If you are not a current Calhoun Community College student, you should submit a Calhoun Community College Application for Admission and request that transcripts from ALL previously attended institutions be forwarded to CCC Admissions and Records by August 1st. Any applications to Calhoun Admissions or transcripts submitted after August 1st, are not guaranteed to be processed in time to meet the August 31, deadline for the Nursing program application. Calhoun Community College Nursing Program applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Fall Nursing program:

  • Be unconditionally admitted to the college
  • Submit a complete online Nursing Program Application by August 31st
  • Submit an ACT score or HESI A2 score by August 31st
  • A minimum 2.5 GPA on the academic core courses (ENG 101, MTH 100, BIO 201, BIO 202)
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA at current, native, or transferring institution
  • Meet Eligibility Criteria for the nursing program
  • Must be eligible for ENG 101, MTH 100, and BIO 201

Applicants are evaluated and ranked based on the selection criteria of the published application process.

NOTE: to complete the application, have ready:

  • Copies of your test scores (ACT or HESI A2) in pdf format, with first and last name, ready to upload before you begin the application process.  (HESI A2 taken at the Calhoun Testing Center is already on file.);
  • Your A#@alabama.edu email address and password;
  • Dates of attendance in any other nursing program (if applicable).
    • If you have attended another nursing program prior to applying to our program, the nursing program director at your prior college must provide a letter of Good Standing on your behalf.  It is your responsibility to contact your prior college nursing program director and request the letter of Good Standing.
  • WE DO NOT ACCEPT E-MAILED APPLICATIONS.
  • When you finish the online application, you will receive an on-screen notice that you have successfully applied. HOWEVER, this does not mean that your application materials are complete. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure they have submitted all necessary application materials to Calhoun Community College.
