CPR Requirements

All students attending any of our Health Programs (ie, Nursing, Paramedic, PTA, Dental Assisting) must have current certification for Basic Life Support CPR.  Please do not be fooled by the online, never see an instructor classes you will find for a deep discount – These certifications will not meet the standards set by our clinical affiliates.

Your class needs to meet the following criteria:

• We only accept certification from three (3) following groups:
  • American Heart Association
  • American Red Cross
  • American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)
• There are many types of CPR classes taught by these companies. Confirm the class you are attending is on the Basic Life Support (BLS) certification level.
• You must meet an instructor for a hands-on skills portion.
  • You may have a blended classroom (teaching the lecture and quiz portion in an online format) or an in-person classroom for lectures, tests, and skills.
• Your certification must be valid while you are attending any of our Health Programs.
