Title IX

Calhoun Community College (the “College”) is committed to creating and maintaining a learning and working environment that is free from unlawful discrimination based on sex in accordance with Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities; Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), which prohibits sex discrimination in employment; and the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act, Clery Act, and the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Sex discrimination and retaliation under this Policy will not be tolerated by the College and is grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including, permanent dismissal from the College and/or termination of employment.

This website provides you with the College’s adopted grievance procedures that provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of complaints made by students, employees, or other individuals who are participating or attempting to participate in its education program or activity, or by the Title IX Coordinator, alleging any action that would be prohibited by Title IX or the Title IX regulations. Additionally, this page offers you’re the opportunity to read our current policy, regulations, and submit a formal notice or request for pregnancy or parenting accommodations.
