As part of Cybersecurity Month, the Calhoun Center for Cybersecurity Education will welcome noted cybersecurity professional Darren Mott to give a special presentation for the local cybersecurity community.

Darren Mott Bio
Darren Mott entered on duty with the FBI in 1999 and during his 20-year career he worked both the cyber and counterintelligence threats. Mott worked in the Charlotte, Cleveland, and Birmingham Field Divisions and worked at the cyber and counterintelligence national program level at FBIHQ. He was responsible for building a working relationship between the FBI and Russian FSB to collaboratively combat the cyber threat and in 2011 he created the first national-level program blending the counterintelligence and cyber disciplines within the FBI. This program recognized the relationship between national and state intelligence services and cyber actors and helped blend the investigative resources within the FBI. He is currently a Senior Director at the National Cyber Security Operations Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Darren possesses master’s degrees in education and in Cybersecurity Policy and Risk Analysis and hosts two cyber-focused podcasts: The CyBUr Guy Podcast and The Get CyBUr Smart podcast.
