Welcome to Calhoun Career Services! My name is Emma Starr, and I am our Professional Skills Specialist. My background consists of experience in both higher education and the K-12 system. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Classics from Carleton College in Northfield, MN, and a Master’s degree in Latin from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Here at Calhoun, I teach our career-focused Orientation class, ORI 105, and a Dual Enrollment Workplace Skills class, WKO 101, and I also work directly with students on determining a career path and preparing for the workplace.
